Load a photo
Pick one of your own through the system photo picker, or take one of the found negatives. Half the time something is hidden in it. Half the time it’s clean.

Develop it
Work the print with darkroom instruments: exposure, grade, filter, dye, reversal, grain. The static in your ears narrows to a signal as you close in.

Call it
Clean, or haunted. If you say haunted, circle the spot with the grease pencil. Then share the negative and dare a friend, or share the developed print.
Photos never leave your phone.
- All processing happens on your iPhone. Analysis, compositing and every darkroom instrument run on-device. No photo, thumbnail or fingerprint of one is ever uploaded.
- Only the photos you pick. Dark Current uses the system photo picker. It never asks for access to your library.
- The people stay untouched. Anything hidden goes behind the people in your photo. Their pixels are never changed.
- Clean exports. Shared prints and negatives are re-encoded with no location or camera data from the original.
